Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions families ask us most often. Can’t find yours? Call us — we’ll be happy to talk.

When does Qklice open?

The home is currently under development — the building is being adapted and fitted out. We plan to open in the first quarter of 2028. Pre-opening reservations are already available — the first 30 reservations receive the Early Bird programme with a 10% discount on the base fee and priority room choice.

How can I reserve a place before opening?

Simply fill in the form on the Reservation page or call us. After a conversation with our admissions coordinator we sign a reservation agreement, and you receive regular updates until the opening.

What does the admission process look like?

We start with a conversation with the admissions coordinator and an initial visit. Then our interdisciplinary team (physician, nurse, physiotherapist, psychologist, dietitian) carries out a comprehensive assessment — including the Barthel scale — on which we base the care plan and a transparent fee calculation. We keep the paperwork to a minimum.

Do you care for residents whose families live abroad?

Yes — many of our enquiries come from families in the UK, Germany and elsewhere. We provide regular updates by phone and e-mail, a family app with health information, and we are around 20 minutes from Wrocław international airport. Staff members speak English.

What documents are needed at admission?

ID document, medical records (hospital discharge summaries, current medication list), a physician’s certificate of health status and the signed care agreement. We provide a full checklist during the first conversation.

Can I visit my loved one at any time?

Family is always welcome. We recommend visits between 10:00 and 18:00 out of respect for residents’ daily rhythm, but we are flexible and agree individual arrangements.

Does Qklice admit people with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease?

Yes, our team is experienced in caring for people with dementia. The scope of support is agreed after an individual health assessment to ensure safety and appropriate care.

How much does a stay at Qklice cost?

The monthly cost has two parts. The base fee: from PLN 7,499 (place in a triple room), PLN 7,999 (double), to PLN 8,499 (single room) — covering accommodation, meals, activities, housekeeping and laundry. The second part is the care fee based on the level of independence per the Barthel scale: from PLN 1,200–2,400 (independent seniors), through PLN 3,000–5,400 (partially independent), to PLN 6,000–9,000 (requiring intensive round-the-clock care). A full written calculation follows a free assessment.

Can my loved one bring their own belongings and furniture?

Of course. We encourage personalising the room — favourite bedding, photos, an armchair or keepsakes help residents feel at home sooner.

How is the family kept informed about the resident’s health?

We stay in regular contact by phone and during visits. Any significant change in health is communicated immediately to the designated family contact.
